So your you like to star up a blog and you want a professionally looking blog. You can achieve this by customizing your template. One thing I hate about blogger is the Navi bar at the top of your blog. Yes if you noticed I removed mine. This is a very simple hack that even a person with no programming skills can do this without a problem.
First I'll show you the before and after I remove the navi bar
Here it is without the navi bar
Procedure
1. log in to your Blogger account
2. On your Dashboard select Layout or Design then select Edit HTML
3. Paste the the css code (in red) on the exact position showed below

4. Save your template and your done.
Note: If you want to restore your navi bar in any reason just delete the code (in red) then save.
